ABOUT

My Practice

Throughout my 15 year practice, I have treated a variety of behavioral health issues in various settings.

In Ireland, I spent over ten years working in addiction services, including a residential drug treatment center, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), private practice and outpatient care.

After I relocated to the US I worked at the Renfrew Center in Bethesda while completing my MSW.

Most recently, I spent three years at a co-occurring addiction treatment facility in Saucilito - Alta Mira

My work now is guided by my extensive professional experience and evidence-based strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) & Sensimotor Psychotherapy.

We will work together to understand what your challenges are and to create a plan for addressing them that will be guided by your needs in conjunction with relevant empirical research. I will work to ensure that you feel you are getting the care you want while we address your current challenges.

Who is my practice for?

My practice is for anyone who is suffering, or supporting someone suffering, from problems related to addiction, substance use/abuse and/or trauma.

If you, or a loved one, is suffering from or experiencing challenges like those described here please reach out to see whether I am the right therapist for you.

Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.
